Our Cycles

Our adaptive cycles include our hand cycle, which is propelled by a person's arms rather than their legs, and our upright tricycle, which fully supports the user, has dual control via the handle at the rear, and is great for introducing people, particularly non-ambulatory people to cycling. We also have running cycles, which are great for those with disabilities or diseases that affect balance and mobility, such as Parkinson's disease and cerebral palsy, but also for those wanting to build back strength and movement in their legs. Our Duets, or bucket bikes, are another adaptive cycle we have here, and they are very popular when we go out to care homes on outreach. The person sitting in the front is fully supported and strapped in, but doesn't need to do any cycling, they can just sit back and enjoy the ride!

Popular with many of our regulars, and great fun to take out on the track, our battery assisted trikes and two-wheelers are great if you fancy an easier ride, are working on building up strength, or of course if you're just a bit of a speed demon. Each cycle has a range of mechanical and electrical gears that work together to give you a wide range of speeds and difficulty levels. 

Our side-by-sides are perhaps the most popular cycles of our entire fleet. The controls for steering and braking are on one side, while the other side just has the option to pedal, so these are great for carers with supported persons who cannot be responsible for the control of a cycle, for those who struggle to balance a standard two-wheeler, or for those who simply prefer not to cycle alone. 

Our Wheelchair Trike is battery assisted, and allows those that cannot be removed from their wheelchair to experience some fresh air and freedom. The back is equipped with ramps to allow easy loading on and off, and straps to keep the wheelchair and the supported person secure while moving. It is also fully equipped with lights and a cheerful sounding horn.

Our KMX's, available in small, medium, and large size, are great for those who cannot maintain an upright cycling position, those who cannot put much weight through their arms or shoulders, or those who struggle to balance on other cycles. The recumbent position also means they are great for people who are new or returning to cycling and need to build up their confidence. The KMX's are just as popular with our able bodied cyclists as our supported users, and are really great fun to take out on the track. You can work up quite a speed on them too!

Our Tomcat Dragon is a lot more stable, and a little easier to cycle than our standard trikes. It is equipped with E-Assist, the controls for which can be connected to either the left or right handlebar grip. This makes it possible to operate by persons who only have full use of one hand. It also has an adjustable bucket seat, which is a lot more supportive than a saddle, and a fully enclosed chain mechanism to avoid any snags.

We have a wide size and colour range of two-wheelers available, from balance bikes for toddlers that are learning to cycle, right up to adult size mountain and road bikes.

Our range of three-wheelers include trikes from child to adult sizes, perfect for those who struggle to balance on two wheels. We also have some specialised trikes that have the option to attach a handle which controls the steering and braking of the cycle, meaning that service users can be given a bit of independence without having to compromise on safety.

The BERGs are our battery assisted, four seater Go-Karts, and are very popular with families or groups that have young children. There are two pedalling and two non-pedalling positions, so your group can do as much or as little teamwork as they'd like.
